Acid etching involves treating concrete surfaces with a special acid gel.MICROGEL® followed by rinsing with surface treatment with water. The acid gel reacts chemically with the surface laitance, dissolving it and allowing it and other water-soluble contaminants to be washed away with plain water. Thus, if your mixture contains a decorative filler of a small fraction (0-2 mm), you can expose it on the concrete surface, visually creating the effect of natural stone.
However, etching (or washing) concrete with an acid gel has additional functions: it opens the pores of the concrete and prepares the surface for further processing. Although concrete can also be prepared by hand by sanding it with a grinder, acid etching is generally much less labor intensive. INCREASING ADHESION AND PREPARING CONCRETE FOR COATING
The acid etching technique, with a certain composition of the mixture, makes it possible to expose fine stone filler (sand) on the concrete surface, thus, with minimal effort, concrete products can be given an exquisite texture of natural stone. CREATION OF LOGOS, DRAWINGS AND SIGNS

To do this, a sticker made of a waterproof material is applied to the hardened concrete surface, with a pre-made plotter cutting of the pattern, and then the places not covered by the sticker are processedMICROGEL®. Upon completion of the reaction, the surface is washed off with water, the sticker is removed and we can admire the resulting pattern.
ANTI-SLIP EFFECT
An additional advantage of concrete using the "Acid Etching" technique is that, due to the rough texture, it is extremely difficult slip.
